Student Work Placement Program (SWPP)

About this program

The Student Work Placement Program reimburses employers 50% of a post-secondary student's wages, to a maximum of $5,000 per placement (the former 70%/$7,000 tier for under-represented students ended April 1, 2026). Employers apply through delivery partners such as Magnet, Technation, BioTalent Canada and ICTC; students benefit by asking prospective employers whether they use SWPP funding.
